How nervous do you get before a performance?
Or before speaking in public?
How does this affect you?
How does this affect your performance?
Stage fright, clamming up, drying up, first night nerves... call it what you will... it's something most people will come up against in some form at some point in their lives.
One of the most common fears is speaking in public, and how many people are required to do this at family functions, say as best man, or at work when you're asked to give a presentation?
Nerves can strike almost anywhere...
...and can be a one-off, never to be repeated experience or become one of those seemingly impossible mountains you have to climb before you set foot on stage, or give that speech, or talk to that person you've really wanted to talk to for so long but...
And the more frequently it occurs and the less effectively you deal with it, the bigger the problem it can become... until you just won't bother any more.
There are many stars who have suffered with performance nerves, the most public recently being Robbie Williams. I don't know what measures he took to combat his fears, but I do know that there are techniques which you can learn, which can help overcome those fears. Techniques which allow you to build on the adrenalin you will have coursing through you and use it as a potent force to aid your performance.
I can help you find ways to understand your nerves and to then discover ways you can work with them rather than letting them be in control.
Utilising clinical hypnotherapeutic techniques alongside the latest in NLP, CBT and coaching you can begin to have that control and
deliver the performance you want to deliver.
I have over 20 years experience in the performing arts world and believe I have a good understanding of the pressures placed on ourselves by ourselves and others. That understanding and knowledge can help me to help you unlock the connection between your fears and your performance, and to make the best of what you know you can achieve.
If you'd like to know more, call me for a free, no obligation chat about your concerns, worries or fears. You can then decide if clinical hypnotherapy is the right way for you to help you. It will also give me the opportunity to assess how I can assist you.
A one hour session will cost just £40.
A supportive and continuing programme of assistance spread over weeks or months to suit your own personal needs can also be negotiated and would usually carry some discount. (I currently offer 4 sessions for the price of 3).
So, if you have an important date coming up - a first night, a speech, a presentation, an audition - and you feel you would benefit from gaining contol over those nerves, why not give me a call on
