Would you like to help reduce the risk of stress related illness impacting on your business?
How much has it cost your business in the past?
How much is it costing you now?
And what of the future..?
The HSE statistics show that an estimated 13.5 million working days were lost in Britain in 2007/8 due to work related stress, anxiety or depression.
It has also recently been reported that stress related sickness cost the country around £29 billion a year.
There are around 5750 new cases reported of mental health related problems every year – this is probably an under-estimation!
In the period between 2007/8 over 442000 people believed they were experiencing work-related stress at a level that was making them ill.
In times of financial uncertainty and increased pressures to meet targets with diminishing resources, stress can become a debilitating feature for individuals and companies alike.
There are some fundamental techniques people can learn to help them deal with stressful times more efficiently and more effectively.
Not all stress is bad. There is good stress which helps us achieve targets, deadlines and work efficiently in competitive markets with and for each other, and ourselves.
The secret is being able to tell when good stress turns bad – and this begins with self-awareness: being aware of how you’re feeling, how stressed you really are and what it’s doing to you.
Stress Management Courses
TynedaleNLP offers a range of courses designed to help the individual cope with stress and anxiety more effectively.
The broad aims of the courses are to identify the difference between helpful stress and unhelpful stress, and how to differentiate between the two.
Relaxing without candles and music!
I have a no nonsense approach to exploring techniques which can help the individual cope with stress before it becomes a problem. These techniques can be used in any situation without anyone else being aware of what you are doing.
More importantly however, is the ability to explore one's own dialogue and to find ways to change negative thought patterns to more positive, goal oriented targets in an attempt to remove the rearguard reaction to fight or flight responses:
Frontline Coping Skills
These are based on tried and tested methods founded in
Cognitive behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and
Neuro Linguistic Programming
Programmes can be tailored specifically to meet your your needs. However, the universal application of coping techniques encourage a generalised approach.
The courses are experiential and invite people to practise the skills offered in the session.
In addition to Frontline Coping Skills I can also offer a more traditional relaxation course which encourages deeper, meditative processes. This can involve music, and will draw on muscle relaxation and visualisation techniques.
Courses are charged at £95 per delegate for a one day course and £50 per delegate for half day course.
I also offer individual therapy for those individuals for whom this is more appropriate. The standard rate for this is £40 per one hour session.
